Trying to learn xposed, put together this simple app...granted I've learned not many apps will play nice with it, but alas, you now have that option.
This module will force your apps selected to use the new Kit Kat Translucent Navbar and Status bar. When loaded, this app loads a list view of all your installed apps and you can freely select which to turn on, note that a reboot is needed when changes are made.
Couple of things to know about when using this:
- The app's UI will stretch for the new available screen size (except Google Hangouts for some reason?)
- The nav/status bars will cover areas of the app now, some required buttons maybe untouchable
- If an app uses an action bar (most do..), the action bar itself will be in the same spot below the status bar however the top part of the app will be hidden behind the action bar...which breaks most apps
Some apps that work really well with this:
- Aviate
- Google Search (aka Google Now)
- Imgur (even though it has an actionbar)
- XDA (The top nav buttons are big enough to still touch)
- Cal
Some apps this absolutely destroys functionality:
- Floating Widget (shameless plug)
- Greenify
- Xposed Installer
- Gmail / Email
Without saying, this will only install on API 19+ (4.4)
source will be on GitHub in the near future, first want to see if there is a desire for this module.
